Pneumonia

Overview

Pneumonia is a disease that causes difficulty in breathing by producing pus or fluid in one or both lungs.
It can also be fatal. People who are at higher risk are over 65 years of age or less than two years old or already have health problems.

Symptoms

Pneumonia can range from mild to life-threatening. Which can take you to the hospital. Symptoms of pneumonia include:

  • Cough that can cause blood or general mucus.
  • Chest pain from long breathing.
  • Fever, sweating, or chills.
  • To get tired.
  • Shortness of breath

Causes

Many germs can cause pneumonia. The most common of which are bacteria, viruses, and fungi. The yew we breathe includes bacteria, viruses, and mushrooms. Our body protects our lungs from these germs. But sometimes these germs infiltrate our bodies and damage the lungs, which can be quite harmful even if you are healthy.

Bacterial

Bacterial is an infection of the lungs, which is caused by certain bacteria. If you are perfectly healthy, you are at no risk for this infection because the bacteria is restricted to your throat. But if your body’s defense weakens for some reason, then the bacteria reach your lungs, and then the air sacs in your lungs get infected and swollen, which causes pneumonia.

There is a higher risk of bacterial if:

  • You are 65 years of age or older
  • Smoke runs high in the body
  • Don’t eat properly or get vitamins and minerals.
  • Drink more of alcohol

Viral Pneumonia

Viral pneumonia is a complication of the virus. Viral pneumonia is most commonly found in young children or older men. Because their body defenses are weak, the virus can invade your lungs. And you may have trouble breathing. Some viruses cause colds and flu. Symptoms of virus do not last long, but can sometimes be fatal.

Fungi

Fungi is a type of pneumonia that is commonly found in people. Fungi are most commonly found in people whose immune system is weak. Fungi infection can be severe in people who are HIV or AIDS patients or use constant medication.

The following is the fungi

  • Pneumocystis jirovecii
  • Cryptococcus species
  • Histoplasmosis species

Risk Factors

Pneumonia occurs when the human immune system or physical defense weakens, and infection occurs within the lungs. The people who are most at risk for this infection are as follows

Children under 2 years of age
People who are age 65 or older

Other risk factors include;

Smoking

People who smoke more often have a weaker physical defense and are at higher risk of infection than normal peoples.

Excessive use of medicines

Excessive use of the medicine can also cause infection and can be quite dangerous as overuse of the drug weakens the defense of the body and causes disease in the lungs.

Impairment of the immune system.

The immune system is often vulnerable to HIV or AIDS, and this same weakness can lead to lung infections.

Treatment

You will need a doctor to get rid of bacterial, fungal, and viral pneumonia caused by pneumonia.

The doctor will give you antibiotics to eliminate the bacteria, which plays a vital role in eradicating the bacteria.

The doctor will give you an anti-fungal medication to remove the fungi.

Viral pneumonia is treated with cough or herbal medicines.

Probably your health is in the right place before you complete this course, but you will not have to leave the course. Because if you skip this course, you may have the infection again.
Or if completing a course does not improve your health, then you need to go to the hospital.
